An overgrown jungle path takes
you to Wijerama, an ancient monastic site lying neglected
in the jungle. Sunlight filtering through the trees picks
out beautifully carved stone walls, balustrades and steps,
pillars and pillar capitals. The site unfortunately has
been plundered with artifacts photographed in the 1990s
now missing.
