A short distance from Kurunegala is the hilltop temple of Ridi Vihara. An interesting mixture of art and achitecture, at Ridi Vihara are stone balustrades and audience halls reminiscent of India, Kandyan style viharas, a flower altar layed in ceremic tiles with Christian scenes, a heavily painted temple interior and an ivory paneled doorframe.
